I'm going to use these fancy wood pieces along with these little support pieces underneath to our wall for a shelf. I poke a little hole in the wall right above the shelf. Guys, I realized I'm not the brightest because I wanted to use this thing and put it on the shelf and then like have the wire going through the wall so I can turn it on. But how am I supposed to get the wire through the wall? Because these things are attached. Like one of the two things needs to go through the wall. Do you know what I mean? So I'm going to attempt to being an electrician today and I'm I think I'm going to cut these wires. Now I'm going to feed this end through the wall. We can set our statue right up there. And now I just have to reattach these. Huh. So I'm going to strip this coating off. Now okay, I'm going to try to connect these back together somehow. I think I'm going to just use some hot glue to hold it. It's looking pretty professional if you ask me. Let's see what happens if I turn this on. Okay, that didn't work. Right, right, right. Uh, wait. Guys, did I cook this thing? Okay, I tried this again. We're going to try this one more time. I really hope this works. Guys, it works. Yay. What do you guys? I'm an electrician. What can I say? Now the next thing I want to tackle is making a cauldron. And so I'm going to use one of these old Miniverse capsules or just half of one because yes, I've been hoarding them. Well, more like my mom made me keep them all because she wanted to make a ball pit for my nieces. I don't really I don't know. But the first thing I want to do is drill a little hole into the bottom here. Yay. And I kind of just got to force it to be a little bit bigger. Perfect. I'm now going to sand this down a little bit so that there's less of like that plasticky shine and hopefully create a bit more of a grippy surface. You can see the before and after. I have these little spiral pieces that I'm going to glue to it for legs. I know this goes kind of messy and ugly right now, but that's fine because we're going to literally cover this whole thing in random like blobs of hot glue. I'm just going to lather on the hot glue. I want to have all sorts of texture and then I'll paint the entire thing in black. Finishing up with a little bit of gold brushed on detailing. And while we're waiting for that to dry, I paint some little foam balls to look like eyeballs. I have this mini sink and I'm going to place the eyeballs into it. I coat them all in a layer of glossy Mod Podge. I also mix some glossy Mod Podge with some red paint that I'm going to use to also paint over the eyeballs. I'm going to place this underneath the window so it looks like there's some creepy stuff going on over here in the kitchen. Now back to our cauldron, we're going to ignore how bad the paint job is inside here. I have this little green light. It needs to be powered by a cord though. So I'm going to stick the cord through a hole I made in the wall, poke it through the hole we drilled in the cauldron and plug it in. Tada. Then I have this fiber fill that I'm going to stuff into the cauldron to look like something's brewing up. It looks especially good with all the lights off. The base of this room is now pretty much done, so I now want to slide this room together with our hallway room. And now we can finish up with the last decorating details. But don't forget that we're still going to be taking a look at those Miniverse capsules later too.
