[ad] Apple crumble for breakfast feels slightly illegal, which is probably why I enjoyed this so much. I’m currently doing the two-week @Activiauk Gut Health Challenge, one Activia every day for two weeks, and rather than simply eating yoghurt from the pot like a sensible person, I have obviously decided to turn mine into a full culinary event. This is my healthy-ish breakfast apple crumble. I say healthy-ish because there is butter involved and I refuse to apologise for that. YOU’LL NEED: — 1 apple — Activia Plain Big Pot — Oats — Chopped walnuts — Peanut butter — Honey — Brown sugar — Cinnamon (lots) — Lemon juice — Salted butter (non-negotiable) METHOD: Chop your apple into little chunks and add to a pan with a knob of butter. Once it starts to soften, add a little brown sugar, plenty of cinnamon and a squeeze of lemon juice. Cook until soft, sticky and your kitchen smells like you’re far more domesticated than you really are. For the crumble, add your oats to a pan with salted butter, peanut butter and honey, then stir through your chopped walnuts. You’re looking for a golden, granola-like texture. Try not to eat half of it directly from the pan. I failed. Then assemble: warm cinnamon apples, crumble, followed by a very generous spoonful of the new Activia Plain Big Pot. It’s naturally high in protein, made with probiotics* and contains billions of live cultures. And that’s it. Warm apple crumble. For breakfast. While technically completing a gut health challenge**. I’m calling that excellent time management. *Live cultures in yoghurt or fermented milk improve lactose digestion of the product in individuals who have difficulty digesting lactose. Enjoy as part of a balanced diet & lifestyle **Activia also contains calcium, which contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes*. Let me know if you try this one!
