The sun is about to start setting before a lot of people even leave work. Daylight saving time ends on Sunday, November 1, when clocks fall back one hour at 2 a.m. and evenings suddenly get a lot darker. Right after the switch, Boston's sunset drops to around 4:40 p.m., and within a week it's down to 4:30. Sunsets keep getting earlier from there until early December, when the sun goes down around 4:11 p.m. in Boston. The upside is brighter mornings and an extra hour of sleep the night of the change. The House passed a bill in July to make daylight saving time permanent, but until it becomes law, the clocks keep changing everywhere except Hawaii and most of Arizona. #daylightsavings #sunset #winter #viral
