One year of starting over. Part 2 ❤️ After my last video, so many of you asked what actually helped, whether I'm happy now, and how long it took to feel like myself again. At 29, I thought I knew where I'd live, who I'd marry, and what the next chapter would look like. At 30, I dont know what any of that will look like but I am genuinely content now. A few things I would tell anyone starting over: • Make plans, even when you don't feel like it. Give yourself things to look forward to, big and small. • Invest in friendships. Especially the ordinary ones. A standing Sunday dinner to me means a lot more than a big night out. • Find something you can make progress in. A sport, a hobby, a business, anything that reminds you you're capable of growing. • Don't wait until you feel better to start building a life you enjoy. Sometimes the enjoyment comes later. • You don't have to become a completely different person. You can just make more room for the things you genuinely enjoy. I'm incredibly grateful for the friends, family, and support system that helped me through this year. I know everyone's circumstances are different, and not everyone has the same resources or people to lean on. If you've ever had to start over, what's one thing that genuinely helped you? I'd love for the comments to become a place where people can share practical advice with someone who might be going through it right now. #StartingOver #Breakup #nyc #personalgrowth
