Why it worked

The post leverages a low-friction giveaway mechanic that requires users to engage with the product's core utility—storing photos—to participate, effectively turning a contest into a product demonstration.

Summary

This is a promotional giveaway post for TeraBox cloud storage. Users are encouraged to share a Halloween memory saved on the platform for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card and a TeraBox Premium subscription.

Structure

1Announce the TeraBox ThrowBack Thursday giveaway
2Display the prizes including TeraBox Premium and an Amazon gift card
3Define the monthly theme of sharing a Halloween memory
4Provide instructions for entry via the caption

Product placement

(a) TeraBox: The cloud storage service is the subject of the giveaway and the platform where the user's memory must be saved to enter. It acts by providing the storage service and the premium subscription prize. (b) Amazon: The gift card appears as a prize; it does not act within the context of the video's functionality.
