Dictionary.com has named ‘maxxing’ its 2026 Word of the Year, reflecting a growing trend of people trying to optimize different aspects of their lives. Popular among Gen Z and younger internet users, the term spans everything from ‘sleepmaxxing’ and ‘proteinmaxxing’ to influencer Clavicular’s extreme ‘looksmaxxing’ routines. The term highlights a culture focused on self-improvement, though it is increasingly used ironically to poke fun at the pressure to be perfect. #maxxing #trending #genz #dictionary
