Are you prepared incase of an emergency?

The government is now warning Americans to be prepared to have food and essentials for I figured what a better time than to go through my pantry, organize everything and see what we need, what we don't need. Those of you that are new here, I pretty much built my platform on canning. I love canning, I love knowing what's in my food, having the food security, I think it's really important. I would say for the last year and a half, I kind of got away from that just because of sickness and health issues that I was going through. It's going to be a couple day task. This is not going to be a one and done type situation. But I figured what a better day to start than today. Not only am I going to organize, but then I'm going to take inventory, see what we need and then we're going to do a big grocery haul. Let's get into it. I want to get rid of a lot of stuff that we don't use. I am a minimalist in a way. I don't like to hoard things. Like if I don't use it for over a year, it's going in the garbage or I'm getting rid of it. I don't care. I will give it to someone for free. I don't care how much it costs me. I don't want it. I don't want it if I don't use it. Why do we have 20 suitcases? I don't know. Christmas stuff. Case inside that suitcase. I don't know, we got to get rid of some of them suitcases. These are more blow up things for Christmas. Each stuff. This is a curtain rod. Good old face masks. This should go in our supply bin. Our one hello autumn thing we don't. My husband's motorcycle jacket. A lot of these big bins full of like sugar, rice. Emergency food kit. Lift with your legs, Cara. These bins are on the other side of my basement, so we're going to move all these back to the other side. They are. Never open these cabinets to see what was inside since we've been here. We've been here for a good five years at this point, so we can utilize these cabinets. Cheese lovers. Gloves for this. Hold on. Should we open it? Oh, it's like nails, actually. Those are all nails, so my husband actually might want those. Our do not drink waters, which means if the power went out or like we don't have water and we need to flush the toilets, that's what these are. This is like bathroom tiles. Garbage. All right, we got a lot of vinegar, so I'm going to put those in there too. All right, this is how it's looking. Take a break, come back down.
