Netflix have just pulled off the biggest public competition scam in history. Now, Fallon Sherrock has beaten Luke Littler and walked away with 501,000 pound in the Beat Luke Littler competition. Half a million quid, by the way. Now, apparently, this was a competition for ordinary members of the public to have a go at beating Luke Littler in one leg. Ordinary members of the public, by the way. You know, people who play darts in the local pub, occasionally hit a treble 20, and then spend the next six months telling everyone about it. Instead, Netflix have invited, that's right, Fallon Sherrock, a professional darts player, a multiple major winner, someone who has dedicated her entire life to the sport. Absolutely brilliant recruitment there, Netflix. Really captured the spirit of the everyday person. That's like organizing a Sunday league penalty shootout and inviting Harry Kane, or a school sports day and getting Usain Bolt involved, or, I don't know, down the local pub having a local karaoke competition and inviting Adele. What's next? Like, MasterChef for beginners featuring Gordon Ramsay entering and taking home the prize? It's just not right. It really isn't. Fair play to Fallon, she's taken the opportunity, brilliant, but Netflix, come on. When you said members of the public, did you mean the public? Or did you mean a professional darts player? Next series, let's have Beat Luke Littler featuring Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor, and a surprise appearance from the bloke who invented the fucking dartboard. Meanwhile, Gary from the Dog and Duck can go back to throwing darts at a picture of his mother-in-law, can't he? 501 grand, bloody hell. Absolutely lovely.
