need to speak about the sydney sweeney because it is really not good and it's not good. i'm not gonna be preaching about how poor it is for women in sport and about the progress that we've made with pushing participation in that area cause the girls can do that. i'm talking about the reason that she is doing that ad is for a brand called novig and it is a polymarket type competitors, prediction markets. which is disgusting that we can still have this amount of money going into not sports but people predicting sport and throwing it there and ruining lives around the world. no one has ever come through any sort of betting career successful. the house will always fucking win. the owner of factory 65 last year paid herself 280 million as a salary. the house always wins. the fact that sydney sweeney is sexualising sport in this way is grim and has done nothing but bad things. and the fact that she's doing it with a brand that is ruining sport, ruining people's lives on top of that and taking advantage of people's basically primal fucking desires of trying to make money and lust is really rank. i'm sure she got paid millions to do that ad and it's just a shame that that is the state of the world right now. lebron james has also done something very similar with polymarket. i just don't think as someone that has come from sport that has seen sport change throughout the last few years. i just think it's a grim place that we're in now where betting essentially is funding everything that we're doing. and i think it will be the next thing that essentially has to get banned. we see it starting to get banned on football as their primary sponsors. but ultimately i don't think it has a place in sport for the players and i don't think it should be able to advertise. but i would love to know your thoughts cause i just think this whole thing is fucking grim.
