Why it worked

The video uses a popular 'versus' narrative hook to pit a highly anticipated mainstream title against a visually stunning, lesser-known game, driving engagement through curiosity and debate.

Summary

The video showcases high-octane gameplay footage of the upcoming game Phantom Blade Zero while the creator holds a PS5 controller. It contrasts the anticipated success of GTA 6 with the visually impressive action of this specific title.

Structure

1Text overlay sets up a comparison between GTA 6 and a new game
2Fast-paced montage of Phantom Blade Zero combat gameplay
3Close-up of the creator holding a controller to imply active gameplay

Original caption

GTA 6 might be the favorite for GOTY, but Phantom Blade Zero is looking like some serious competition. 💀⚔️ The combat, the cinematics, the action… this game looks absolutely insane. 🔥 #PhantomBladeZero #PS5 #Gaming #gameplay

Product placement

Phantom Blade Zero (a) it ACTS — its gameplay is shown throughout the video, demonstrating its combat mechanics and cinematics. Removing it would change the video entirely as it is the subject. PS5 (b) it merely APPEARS — the controller is visible in the creator's hands, but the video is about the game itself, not the console. GTA 6 (b) it merely APPEARS — mentioned in the on-screen text as a comparison point, but no gameplay or interface is shown.
