'We're blue, baby!' Texas Democrats celebrate wins We got both of them. We're taking Texas back. This is amazing. Never in my lifetime has Texas been blue. We're blue, baby, we're blue. It's happened. Democrats have taken back, or projected to take back Texas. There's a lot of disbelief here tonight. They didn't quite dare believe that they could win a Senate seat. They definitely didn't dare believe they could win the governor's as well, but that's what the projections are saying. They're convinced it's happening, and the numbers seem to be backing them up. I am just so amazed by this. This is going to be like real change here. I think this is a great day for Texas to finally have their voices heard after the years and having outside interests decide what we get to think and do out here. Like I didn't think this day would happen again. I'm from Texas. I remember when Ann Richards won governor. The fact that a Democrat hasn't been elected to statewide office is incredible.
