In 2018 I started trying to build a bionic hand I started out with basic projects So that I could get familiar with the technology After I had a good understanding of the base technology I started diving deeper into the engineering of it all I found an open source hand model called the Brunel Hand 2.0 And spent close to 4 months learning 3D modeling so that I could make improvements to it I convinced my senior design team to improve it further So... we implemented an A.I. control system for amputees Meaning you can control this even if you've lost your hand We developed it for just $600 And six months later presented it at our college technology symposium We ended up getting 2nd place out of 69 collegiate teams and won $3,000... But the motivation to continue this project beyond college...
