Here's my best tip for nailing your VC interview. Find out what the primary responsibility is. And it's going to be one of two things: sourcing or diligence. If it's sourcing, then you need to emphasize your networking skills. Are you active in the tech and startup ecosystem? What communities are you a part of? Do you have some unique access or just the grind to get in front of founders? If it's diligence, then you want to talk about your analytical skills. You should be good with numbers, spreadsheets, and critical thinking. Every fund is structured differently, and these are very different skill sets. And eventually, you'll need both. But you should align yourself to the skill set they value most in this initial role. Hope that helps.
