Hook

Has anyone ever had this conversation with their parents? Anytime I have an issue with like insurance or something with my day job, my dad always says something like this. He's like, yeah, well like isn't there a department where you could just like walk into and they'll just like help you with that? And I'm like, no. And he's like, no, there has to be like, like maybe like HR has like a a room where you can just like walk into and they'll just like help you out with it. And it's like, those days are over. There's no such thing anymore as like going into a department for your job and they like walk you through step by step. And by the way, I'm not making fun of boomers when I say this. Like I'm jealous. I'm truly jealous that there was an era in your life where you could just walk downstairs and someone would just like help you with something, but like that's no longer. You're on your own.
