so here's my monthly salary and expenses as a software engineer living in New York City. So last month I spent about $700 on food and I spent three thousand fifty nine dollars fifty cents on rent. I spent about $245 on miscellaneous stuff. I went to Puerto Rico so I end up spending about like $522 on travel and I spent zero dollars on shopping. I didn't buy a thing. So my total cost is about $4,500 for the month and my income is $3,500 bi weekly. So I get paid about $7,000 post tax every single month for being a software engineer. So my total net income or the money that goes to savings amounts to $2,500. Which honestly isn't enough. And if it wasn't for my side hustles, I probably won't be living in the apartment I am.
