Here's some fun information for your brain. This is the main rotor driveshaft of the MD 500. This line right here, if it's not straight, it means you done messed up and you over torqued it. But fortunately, this one's straight, so I know I'm still good. If you look here, those holes are for 10 bolts that hold that driveshaft down into the main rotor hub. And here is the main rotor hub. Those are the holes where the bolts go, and these nuts are what hold those bolts on. These nuts just happen to cost $35 a piece, which is wild, and that's why helicopters are so expensive. There's the hole into which the driveshaft goes. It's a nice hole. It's deep. And at the very bottom of that hole is the main transmission. Fun stuff.
