Talk with numbers, don't talk with words. I talked on another video about leading with the red. One of the ways to do this is to talk with numbers, and don't talk with words or paragraphs or slides or clicks. When someone asks you, hey, how many leads did we get last week? The answer is a number. It's not a set of words. It's not clicking around on a dashboard. It's not sending an email or sending a couple of slides. It's a number. And the same is true for a lot of business questions. The answer is usually very simple, very straightforward, very short. I like to use the example of when you have a nurse who maybe runs the night shift at a hospital emergency room, and the next shift takes over. So the the new nurse comes in and she asks, how many patients came in the previous six hours? And then, of course, the answer is a number. It's not a slide. It could be a number plus some context like, hey, we had five people come in and they have x, y, z, three are still here, etc, etc. But the first answer has to be the number. It has to be the most specific and most clear answer.
