The most important marketing lesson you need to know. This 90 second lesson will teach you more about marketing than the first couple years of college and cost you like $100,000 less. Marketing is simple when you break it down like this. My name is Trevor Crump and over the last seven years I built an eight figure e-commerce brand, launched a seven figure marketing agency, and I got a pointless master's degree in marketing 14 years ago. There are literally only four ways you can grow a brand. No. 1 increase distribution. More eyeballs equals more sales. You can do this through paid ads, creating organic content, growing your email and SMS list, and sharing distribution with other people's audience, kind of like what comfort does when they see product with thousands of creators. No. 2 you can boost your conversion rate. If 100 people visits your website and one of them makes a purchase, that means your conversion rate is 1%. If you convert 2% you just doubled your revenue. You can fix this by making sure that all of your inventory is in stock, make sure your website actually works, doing things like landing page optimization and creating irresistible offers. No. 3 increasing your average order value or your AOV. If your average order value is $100 and you wanna increase by 20% which would be $120, what do you do? You bundle products which will increase the average price, you just raise your prices, create better deals that make people want to buy more and develop new products. No. 4 improve retention. If customers only buy one time you're stuck chasing news forever. Repeat buyers equal easier revenue growth. Some things you can focus on. No. 1 product development. No. 2 building up your brand. No. 3 creating great organic content. No. 4 dialing in a flawless customer experience. No. 5 doing things that make your products giftable so that if you just need it one time for yourself, you might be buying it for other people which will increase the overall retention. And that's it four ways to scale your business, no fluff, no gatekeeping, just a framework that actually simplifies what you're doing and works.
