Hello South Africa. My name is Morendeni Baloyi, a 25 year old data scientist and founder of Youth Unemployment Intervention from Atteridgeville in Gauteng. I want to be your Miss South Africa 2025, because having youth unemployment rates estimated at 45%, almost half the population of the labor force, proves that we still have a long way to go as a country, and I want to lead the change and reduce unemployment through skills development. This is a journey that I have already embarked on, and I want to work with the Miss South Africa organization to reach many more individuals who are facing this challenge. With technology being integrated in every industry, the best we can do for ourselves as women and youth is to get skills aligned with emerging technological trends in our various career pursuits.
