My name is Tobi. I'm 23 years old and I'm a software engineer at a startup that you've probably never heard of. But things are going to change. For the last two years, I was your typical software engineer. I didn't go to a crack CS program, never worked in FAANG, didn't get any internships at FAANGs. I just went to a solid school, got a decent job out of college in a low cost of living city. You see, I moved to Canada seven years ago with big dreams of independence, success, and financial freedom. But along the way, I got a bit sidetracked. You see, my job allowed me to travel, grow with my friends, get a new apartment. I got comfortable. But here's the thing. I'm passionate about a lot of things: sports, film, business, tech, anime, gaming. I didn't know what niche I wanted to pick, because I knew I would have to stick to it. But once we started reaching halfway through the year, I made a decision to stop overthinking and just do it. So here's the plan. Before the end of this year, I want to launch three things: Stox, an AI-powered finance news app; Lo-cal, networking events for local professionals; and third, this, consistently making content about my journey chasing success and financial freedom. Originally, I didn't want to set a goal for followers or anything like that, but I also realize now that I need a north star to chase. So now, I want to see if I can go ahead and get in at least 10,000. There's going to be a lot of ups and downs. I'm not a videographer, I'm not that good at editing, but if you want to follow along for the success, the failures, and everything else in between, follow me.
