hi i'm brittany, founder & ceo of bri beauty ❤️ i've worn makeup since i was 3 born & raised in phoenix, az sports weren't my thing — so beauty pageants were IT i've struggled with acne since i was 12. i do everything "right" and still break out. i research every makeup and skincare product i use, clean pillowcases, disposable face towels, no dairy, the works... attended my dream school, USC— which is where my mom & dad met! i studied acting so our classes were in the old PE building & we often wore corsets and fits like this for class i was able to study abroad in London & learned a Northern Irish dialect (very useful in business) loves me not, loves me decided to write and self-publish a book of poetry at 19 & hosted a book signing in phx i've always been creative and pursued a career in acting after graduation. I lived in LA ages 17-26 and loved every minute of it worked as a sales rep, hostess, server, nanny, & later started content creation for beauty brands acting is making me wait around... I studied stand up in college and was pretty good... maybe this is the career for me wrote, produced, & acted in my own short with my best friend I met at UCB class. we were in each other's weddings 🥺💖 my friend from stand up class directed and his brother was my co-star! my soon to be husband helped us produce it, introducing us to who hired as the DP met & fell in love with my best friend (who i thought was already in love with me) married the love of my life!!! every day is the best day ever woke up one day and said "let's move to austin" so we moved 2 months later the why: save on rent to build my dream & meet more entrepreneurs finally started the beauty brand I've dreamed of since I was a little girl got pregnant and had a miscarriage. one of the most heartbreaking experiences I've faced. I hope we can begin our family soon taking a chance on my dreams every day. lots of cold calls, emails, networking events, & prayer. feeling the fear & doing it anyway. pitching to my friends and family, we've raised $75,000 so far, and we're patenting our innovative hero product! follow along the journey as we build a beauty brand that works for you ❤️
