How I Started My Skincare Brand At 21 & Launched in Stores Within 6 Months AUTY ESW BEAUTY Since I was 16, I worked for my mom who had her own K-Beauty distribution company and this experience introduced me to skincare, especially sheet masks. I've tried hundreds of masks over the years and fell in love with how fun & effective they were In addition to skincare, I've always had a huge interest in better-for-you foods & beverages like raw juices & plant-based milk In the spring of 2019, I decided to combine my two passions together and began working on my first product line: the Raw Juice Sheet Masks. I wanted to create a fun skincare brand that prioritized clean formulas and sustainable packaging Mask Name: Green Green Machine Holy Kale Garden Green Green Reset Ingredients: Kale Spinach Broccoli Apple Function: Anti Aging We began working on the design. I wanted to create a cohesive line that told a story. Each mask would be inspired by a different raw juice and target its own skin concern. My favorite was the The Pink Dream (for hydration) which features watermelon, rose water & grapefruit extracts The most important aspect was the formula. Since day 1, I worked with our lab to only use non-toxic and vegan ingredients. The amount of serum included was a priority since I remember in the past, I've used masks that would dry my skin out so when creating our product, we ensured to include more serum to enhance the experience We created samples and made just enough to bring to our first trade show. At this point I wasn't 100% ready to officially start the business (especially since I was still in college) so I wanted to hear everyone's feedback before moving forward We attended Cosmoprof in July 2019 and presented our brand for the first time! My co-founder and I were blown away by the love we received! Lots of buyers stopped by, some made wholesale orders and decided to bring our products into their stores One of them was Kohl's who purchased our Raw Juice Cleanse Mask Set and launched them in 1000+ stores in January 2020!! We were so excited and knew we had to continue with the journey Today, ESW Beauty can now be found in over 6500+ stores! Our brand has all types of beauty products ranging from sheet masks to lip treatments to facial tools & still has many more to come!
