Dear Executive, this is actually what your team wants to tell you around the quote unquote technology culture you're building and why it's super shitty and not working. Because you've created a culture of fear, they're not gonna tell you, but I'll go ahead and tell you. First and foremost you need to end your obsession with AI because though they're fully capable of running an AI system, you never gave them the support to fix the processes in the data, thus the AI won't work and it makes them look bad. If you want good AI, you have to invest in a good team that's capable of supporting it, and so far you don't seem to understand that nor listen. You rolled out automation on top of a completely broken process, so thinking that's gonna work is beyond delusional. That's called amplifying chaos and the only thing it's gonna do is make what's already broken worse. You're trying to do this weird control scenario around forcing adoption of a new system because you think once everyone tries it, they're gonna love it. Yeah, so that's not true at all. Once people try it they're going to realize how difficult it is because you didn't ask them what they thought before the selection of the new software. That's on you. Your team is not resisting the change, they are not the problem. They're resisting the dysfunction that comes with a no strategy change and you're the problem. You skipped any sort of workflow or process mapping because you're being agile, which means you're being lazy. You're asking for BI dashboards because you want to be able to have an observation deck, but you haven't designed any sort of approval workflow, so that's impossible. Dashboards that say what when, you have to define that so they know what to deliver. They don't hate tech, they hate your crazy fire drills dressed up as innovation. They hate the theater that you say at all team meetings around we're going to be the company of the future, but give no foundational support for them to get there. And you open no feedback loop for them to tell you this. You expect them to deliver on unrealistic expectations. You've spent more money on your software than investing in your people and there couldn't be a worse business decision. You wanna actually be a good leader and fix your culture, stop talking and listen. Learn how to ask the right questions. Take your most important data set, which is not your expensive consultants, it's your internal team members and ask them. Take an analysis of their experience so you can amplify that and leverage the next level of productivity. Fix the culture, invest in strategic clarity and respect their processes, or just keep burning through budget and blaming your users. You don't have a technology problem at all, you have a listening problem and your team is so tired of your shit to even say it out loud to you, so I will.
