Hook

for the girls who also want a big life and I think everybody in my life understands that about me. I'm not here to play it small, I'm not here for simple. I don't hate on anyone else who wants that, but for me personally, it's never going to cut it. And I'm feeling stressed out, when I'm feeling overwhelmed, uncomfortable, anxious, down, I immediately cling to the other end of that spectrum. I'm like, buck it, I don't want that. Why would I ever want a big life? Like, take it away from me. Like this sucks. Because I'm adjusting in those moments to what a big life means, what having cool jobs means, what building a company means. It's more than what it looks like. You want the big life, you better be ready to handle the big life and have the big feelings that come with it. The big stress that come with it, the big work hours that come with it, the big joys, the big sorrows. Like you just don't get one part of it. But it's interesting because whenever I find myself really down bad overwhelmed, I cling to that other direction. I'm like, I want simple. I want simple, take it back, take it back. Because I'm just sharing this because it's not wrong. I'm not going to shame myself for feeling that way when I'm overwhelmed. Like, yeah, you would too if you were feeling that way. I think there's so much power in just learning to be aware of ourselves, to journal, to sit with ourselves, to meditate, to not shame ourselves, to not make big decisions on a bad day, to see it through, to give it a little time, a little spaciousness, a little grace. Because then you'll bounce back and you're like, okay, expansion. Sucks in the moment when it's happening and then you get all this spaciousness after and you're like, oh, yes, give me that big life. So I love to share to demystify, you're not crazy if you're feeling like this, you're not not cut out for this if you're feeling like this. Bad days are part of a big life, bad days are part of a sexy life. Bad days are just part of life.
