Why I think AI Automation bros are cooked

If you're thinking of starting an AI automation business, pause, because I'm gonna tell you why it might not be the best idea and what you should do instead. These guys on TikTok and X being like you can sell this AI automation to local businesses and make 5K a week, blah blah blah. Don't do it. It's the next online get rich quick scheme. I'm talking about ONLY AI copy paste n8n automations, not all AI services in general. I've been an AI consultant for over two years. I have helped businesses from doctor's offices all the way to tech companies. And I'm not saying that to brag, I'm just saying like I know what I'm talking about. Here's the tea: the pace that AI is moving at is insane. So unless you have some crazy product or some crazy hardware software combination, if you want to run AI automation for a business or if you want to create a software, there's a high high high chance OpenAI, Claude, whatever is gonna come out with an update and completely wipe it out. This has been happening every single update. There are tools that were great for two months and then OpenAI adds that feature. So the same thing is happening with AI automations. You can build these complicated N8n workflows, but now tools like string.com, you can literally just type out please send me a text message every time I get a calendar invite from this person, and it'll build that for you without you having to actually manually do anything. I'm not saying don't go build automations for companies because they'll always need that. No one, like unless you're working IN AI, you can't keep up with it. You should be a strategic advisor or consultant. Cause everyone knows they should be using AI in some capacity but they're overwhelmed and they don't know where to start. So what you're gonna do is go to a business, do a deep dive, do an AI audit, recommend five to 10 use cases, and then offer to implement them for them. Don't narrow yourself just to an AI automation agency because just like crypto, just like ecom, just like SMMA, it's just gonna go woosh once the hype wears off. If you wanna do something sustainable, be a strategic advisor.
