Just finished my first week oncall as a new grad I completed my first week oncall as a new grad software engineer at Amazon. And last night I was getting page like crazy. As you already know AWS was down. A lot of services internally to Amazon were down too. And my team's services were down as well. Since I was the one that was on call, all those tickets and all those alarms were coming to me. And I started getting page like around 2:00 AM and this page went on to like around 9:00 AM in the morning. So it was just back to back paging. Yeah, this was actually like a very, very unique experience for me. I've been very new to this company and this is my first on call. Not a lot of people get to say that they experienced their first major outage on their first on call. So this is something that's definitely going down in my history books. But, um, yeah, my first on call experience was not a bad experience.
