I debulk and now I'm shortening my nails with this panacone bit and now I'm just using a regular sanding band to smooth everything out and this is also safe to get around my natural nail, whereas the other one isn't. Of course, we have to file and shape our nails. Then I go in with this glass cuticle tool and pushing my cuticles back with the flat end and then I use the pointed side to scrub around and dig underneath my cuticle. Then I go in with these cuticle scissors. I personally think these are so much easier to use than a regular cuticle trimmer. Then of course, the most important part for retention is scrubbing with alcohol. Today I'm using a hard gel because it's going to give me a little bit more structure and strength since I do have longer nails. First I did a thin layer and now I'm going in to do my actual builder gel application. This is what it actually looks like when it's nice and smooth like here. As you can see, this takes a minute and I really just take my time. For the color, I was envisioning like a cinnamon-y brownish red and I did not have that color, so I have to make it. The only brown color I had was this Beetles liner, so I poured some onto this plate so I could paint it with a bigger brush and I did two coats of that. Then I did one coat of this red shade. Out of the bottle, it looks a little bit more brown, but when I painted it on my nail before without any brown, it looked too red. So that is why I decided to add a brown base. Then we're adding the top coat and curing and that is the final nail look. Thanks for watching.
