That is very, very important because you may contact a professor and when that professor finally gives you an opportunity to an oral interview, you find out or the professor will find out that you do not have already existing knowledge in his field of research and that would be a waste of time for both you and the professor. So you shouldn't do that. The next thing to do, go and follow them on all their social media handles. Twitter account that is X. You see them on LinkedIn. Go through their profile, go to their followers list and see what exactly is happening there. Follow everybody, follow the students, his team. Follow them on LinkedIn and Twitter too. Follow everybody. You don't know who may be posting a beneficial update. Come back to the school website and check the two most recent publication, like two most recent articles and then read them. Make sure that it's truly aligns with what you want to do because you would be doing something similar. When you read this article and you feel like, this article does not sit right.
