If you are using Claude without a Claude.md file, you're basically starting from scratch every single project. I took Anthropic's best agent, context, and prompting documents and synthesized them into a single Claude.md file that works like institutional memory. Instead of rereading these articles every single time, I took the articles and used Claude Code to synthesize over a thousand lines of text into 42 lines of rules, defaults, and guardrails that Claude follows automatically. In my Claude.md, I've added context about myself, and it has all the principles here that it follows in every conversation that I open up with Claude. And what I've learned is this is context engineering versus prompt engineering, and it's how teams actually use Claude at scale. If you want access to my personal Claude.md creation workflow, comment AI AGENT below and I'll send you some resources.
