If you are a Shopify user, please stop scrolling because this can seriously affect your business. On January 6th my business was completely shut down due to being hacked. On the over the last couple days, I have seen so many businesses, small businesses, large businesses dealing with the same problems that I'm dealing with right now, and there needs to be some sort of awareness brought to this because we're getting nowhere. We're getting no help in our businesses are not able to operate. So, how I found out that I was getting hacked, I was spammed with a million emails and text messages late at night. Thankfully, I was awake and somebody hacked my Shopify, got through all my two-factor verification stuff and started using the Shopify credit card that was on my Shopify dashboard. By the time I got into my Shopify, they had already charged $11,400. It was in a matter of minutes. So, as many of you know, Shopify does not have a phone number, so there was nobody to call. So I immediately started chatting with a human through their chat room and their help center. It has been a month later, and let me just say my business is still shut down. I have an online store and a brick and mortar store. Front my website, everything is run through Shopify and Shopify has completely locked me out of everything and I have access to nothing until their investigation is over. I can't get any answers out of them, I can't get a timeline out of them. And after a month of chatting with them weekly, I just received the email that I am being charged for the $11,400 that was taken out of my bank account after this has all been proven to be fraud. So, if you are a Shopify user, I just want to let you know, be aware and you should maybe start considering switching to a different platform because after hours and hours of research, I realized I'm not the only business. There are multiple hundreds of businesses that this has been happening to over the last month. And like I said, we're getting no help, we're getting nowhere. We're just sitting here with no access to our business, no answers from them. And honestly, I don't know what's going to happen from here. So, I just wanted to make people aware of this because it's a serious problem and honestly, I don't know what's going to happen from here.
