I paid someone $300 to put an iPad on a stick on my birthday and I'm done wasting my money! So I decided to make one myself and here's how I did it. First I sketched out how I wanted it to look. I open up Claude and start planning the whole thing out. Start prompting and previewing it on Xcode with React Native and Expo. Go. Quick water break cause we're locked in. Back to coding building out all the features. I drew some custom graphics for the frames and overlays. Some more coding and tweaking, you know how it is. I set up storage with Supabase so all the photos will save automatically and here is the final results. Look how cute it is and it looks even better than the one I paid for. Take the photo and you can scan out the strip photos and using the QR code to get it straight to your phone. Also does GIFs and it also does regular photos if you want that as well. So $300, never again and I can use this on every freaking party I have.
