3 things I'm doing at 19 to put me financially ahead of most people in their 20s. The first thing that I do is invest consistently every single month, no matter the amount. It doesn't matter the amount, even $100 a month makes a difference. Building a habit of investing and investing early is actually way more important than how much you invest. Second, I use a credit card, but I treat it like a debit card. I only spend what I already have and pay it off full every month. And in return, I'm building my credit score and earning cashback on things that I was going to buy anyway. A lot of people my age don't have credit cards at all or use them wrong. There's a whole middle ground that actually works in your favor. The last thing I do is I pay myself first, meaning before I spend my money on anything fun, I move my money into my savings and investments first, not what's left at the end of the month. Because if you wait to see what's left, there's probably nothing much left. This habit alone is the difference between people that build wealth and people who don't even know where their money is going. And if you comment stock on this video, I'll send you my full stock portfolio for free.
