This $5 mistake is killing your sales. I used to charge for shipping. I thought it's cheap, people won't care, but they did. Around 30% of people dropped off at checkout. So I changed one thing. I made free shipping over $40, then I added a progress bar in the cart so customers see how close they are. And right under it, a small upsell. Now customers spend more and my AOV went up.
