MY #1 rule for building product as a solo dev who built 14 apps in 5 years solo developer that's built over 14 different apps in the past and my first six apps or so made absolutely zero money had zero user then the next three apps made a couple hundred and my last 3 or 4 maybe a couple thousand dollars a month with my current app currently peaking at around $7500 $8000 a month between all the apps no money had no users versus all the apps and did have users was that I started to only build apps that I knew the marketing for one of the earlier apps that I built was a journaling app journaling app where a user would record a one minute blurb something beautiful that day surprised them that day that annoyed them that day because that's back in the day and I built out an app but I had absolutely no idea on how to market it I am not a health content creator I don't know how to make that content nor do I want to make that content So I made this app and I had no idea I tried to market it towards my audience of all the software engineers and developers totally flop no one cared about it the app has legs the right person because I wasn't to market it to learn more about like the 14 different apps that I built one of them that I built you can check out this video right here

And I built it because that's what I used to journal back in the day and I built out an app but I had absolutely no idea on how to market it. I am not a health content creator or wellness content creator. I don't know how to make that content nor do I want to make that content. So I made this app and I had no idea I tried to market it towards my audience of all the software engineers and developers. Totally flopped. No one cared about it. I still think the app has legs, the right person because I wasn't to market it.
