You're done with college applications. High school is over and you have one summer before college starts. Let me show you how to make the most out of this time that you're never gonna get back. There's a sweet spot between doing absolutely nothing and overloading your summer. Here is how to find it. Phase one, a real break for two to three weeks after the stress of senior year, give yourself permission to actually relax. Sleep in, binge TV shows, hang out with friends. Your brain and body needs this reset before college chaos hits. Phase number two, practical college prep, but not too much. This summer is perfect for dorm shopping, learning basic life skills such as laundry, budgeting, cooking simple meals, and connecting with your future roommate. Don't go overboard because you don't need everything now. Phase number three, intentional time with your hometown friends. A great way of doing this is creating specific memories with your family and friends. It can be a variety of different things like traveling or even mini golfing, an escape room with friends. I even took my little siblings out to adventures. These moments are precious. Use them wisely.
