As a mom, here's how I'm protecting my baby and also my family. Number one, if you're not a content creator, go to Instagram and TikTok and set your account to private. If you're on Facebook, set it to friends only. Next, go to your voicemail and delete your personal greeting. Use the carrier default. That recording is a free audio clean sample for scammers to use. If you post videos to social media, make sure to add background music to it. Even if the volume is at ten percent, it makes it harder to extract a clean voice sample. Here's the most important tip. You wanna create a family code. Not anything basic like, I love you. I want something like, Blue Cheetos or Uncle Nuck Nuck's potato salad. Uncle Nuck Nuck only eats potato salad and he ain't never fixed it, but you know that's why it's a go. Listen to me, parents, on this. If someone calls and sounds like your child, hang up the phone. Do not call the number back that just called you. Call them back from your contacts. Finally, you're gonna make sure that your carrier is already automatically protecting your phone. If you have AT&T, make sure you have ActiveArmor. If you have Verizon, make sure your call filter is turned on. If you have T-Mobile, make sure you have Scam Shield. And next, if you're a creator, you wanna go to GitHub, search anti-fake and process all of your videos before you post it. Now, here's your most important job.
