How to
set up
NanoClaw
Step 1: Fork the NanoClaw
Github repo
in the terminal
dev cd
gh repo fork qwibitai/nanoclaw --clone
in Github (make sure to download the project!)

Fork your own copy of qwibitai/nanoclaw
A fork gives you your own copy
on Github, so all your customizations can be pushed
and backed up safely. You can
also pull new updates from the
original repo whenever they ship!
Step 2: Use Claude to set it
up!
dev cd nanoclaw
Claude git:(main) x Claude

At some point, Claude will tell you
to install Docker. This is where your
agent will live- a secure,
containerized environment that
only has access to the files and
folders you grant it.
Step 4: Connect Claude
Auth method
How do you want to authenticate the agent with
Anthropic?
> 1. Claude subscription (Pro/Max)
Uses your existing Claude Pro/Max subscription.
You'll run `claude setup-token` in another
terminal to get a token.
2. Anthropic API key
Pay-per-use API key from
console.anthropic.com/settings/keys.
3. Type something.
4. Chat about this
When prompted, make sure you
use your Claude subscription to
power your NanoClaw agent! Using
an API key means you're paying
per usage, and that can get
unwieldy fast.
Step 5: Pick a channel
Channels Submit
Which messaging channels do you want to enable?
> 1. [] WhatsApp
Authenticates via QR code or pa ring code (Baileys
library)
2. [] Telegram
Authenticates via bot token from @BotFather.
3. [] Slack
Authenticates via Slack app with Socket Mode.
4. [] Discord
Authenticates via Discord bot token.
5. [] Type something
Submit
6. Chat about this
Decide how you want to talk to
your agent. I recommend picking
one of the supported channels to
start. If you want to add an
unsupported channel, you can ask
Claude after initial setup is done!
You're done!
