CLAUDE just launched a new feature called ROUTINES. Routines. And that means Claude can now work for you without you being there. For this, even with scheduled task, you needed a session to be open. Routines change that. No laptop, no session. It still continues to work. It runs in the Anthropic Cloud. And this is where GitHub comes in. To set up a GitHub repository. GitHub is just a cloud folder of your files, not on your laptop, it's online. It stores a single version of a file that they've on there. Very easy to set up. Claude Code > Routines. Routines. In order to set them up, you can set them up in Claude Code. Write the task. Set the trigger. Trigger doesn't have to be a timer. It can be an event. So for example, when I drop new content in my GitHub folder, that is the trigger. And I tested this on my LinkedIn content poster. Any time I drop a new brief on LinkedIn post that I want to be created, that routine kicks off. The max plan, currently get 15 routine runs per day. If you want to automate everything in your business, this could get pricey. Point is, Claude routines can now run without you having to have a session open.
