my UC admissions journey 💖💖 (proof that everything will work out!) applied as neuroscience / bio / global health background: applied as neuroscience, global health, biology moved from south korea end of elementary high income female super competitive bay area highschool biomedical academy 4 years competed actively in HOSA- won first place international a LOT of projects in healthcare education / awareness was SO SO BUSY (i put it upon myself bc im an overachiever. did competition + research + internships every summer didn't really have a dream school... but did every single ec ever related to health awareness / education stuff and competed a lot to stand out but since junior year i had wanted to aim for uusd for the uc's bc of how strong it is for biotech i need to get into UCSD!!!!!!! got accepted into davis irvine sb etc less and less anxiety atp also was winning cool merit based scholarships so i was less anxious selected for regents scholarships for some UCS then.... got into UCSD genuinely opened in bed after a nap... SCREAMED!!!!! got into uc berk letters and science!!!! didn't rlly know how to feel tho bc i never felt that attracted to it was stuck between ucsd and berkeley was the closest to me so i went to cal day HATED cal day legit got bitten on my hand by a homeless guy????? and it was rainy and gloomy and then i go to ucsd the DAY after.... and perfect weather, low cortisol and met with GOATED nobel prize profs ended up committing to UCSD and declining my offers everywhere else considerin UC Berkeley. Decisions and Important Updates >> Forms ever since then.... helped more than 80 kids get into their dream universities INCLUDING HYPSYMC + uc's + stanford working w the coolest brands like anthropic, uber, microsoft got into product marketing, actively doing growth at 100m+ companies 200-400k full time offers as a 19 year old worked at one of the biggest biotech companies joined 2 paid research labs seeing the beach every couple days (5 min walk from my dorm btw) made SOOOO many awesome memories + building my DREAM LIFE proof that everything WILL. WORK. OUT.
