I'm a community organizer & social justice advocate in California. I grew up a lot of my life in a low income area, my parents are working class immigrants, raised to know my lineage of refugees & generational experiences with poverty, and in 2020 I felt the need to stand up against the blatant racial and economic injustices harming marginalized youth & families in our communities I founded a grassroots social justice organization at 13, doing on-the-ground work in my community & grew from there! some blessings in recent years! -raised & advised/advocated total of $$$millions to youth of color / immigrant youth / trauma-impacted youth -spoke on panels, keynotes, university talks to 2,000+ CA residents (my 1st worldwide conference happening next month) -worked on projects with the Governor and Attorney General's office (CA Department of Justice) -directed 2 statewide conferences for youth activism, empowerment, liberation (300+ leaders, 100+ orgs across 20+ CA counties just last week!) -somehow went viral mobilizing 50,000+ in anti-Asian hate campaign, another 10,000+ campaign for health equity in public schools -hundreds of events, workshops, projects & THOUSANDS of participants in the last 5 years, all led by and for our historically under-served community + hundreds of volunteers!!! -started a leadership program investing $20,000+ to students of color in social impact and ethnic studies / political education -mutual-aid programs (6,000+ meals, 30k supplies, $50k reinvested) for our unhoused neighbors & ppl in need -served/serving on county, state, national boards & ushering out campaigns :) -other stuff here and there i will be eternally grateful for all my mentors, fam & friends, leaders on my team...it's been such a journey <3 biggest takeaway: DO WHAT YOU LOVE, FOR THE PEOPLE you love + YOU BELONG
