Fact is, anyone trying to convince you to give your money to private equity for free is blowing smoke up your ass. I wouldn't trust these people that are trying to convince you that they're buying back Spirit Airlines. I mean, you're just giving your money to a private individual who's then going to pivot back into private equity to make a profit off of you. If you're really concerned about affordable airfare, then we should be campaigning for public airlines. We need a public airline because they have an obligation to connect rural communities and poorer communities. We're focusing on the wrong thing. Why? Why are we buying and running another private airline when we should be directing this energy to the fact that we don't have a public airline in the first place?
