This is a conspiracy and I don't know how to prove it, but I believe that the people in power have demonized artistic careers because if you can make something cool and original, why would you buy their mass-produced shit? I think the same thing goes for ideas too. Like, they want to reserve these jobs so that their nepo-ass kids that are uncreative can design products and inspire trends and also inspire ideas that they back up instead of letting us be the ones perpetuating that because they want to maintain the cultural power. But, anyways, just food for thought.
