Hosting is a lost art. Hosting my Pinay friends for a Sinigang party for all my Filipino friends. I always try to prep florals a couple days before so I got some orange and pink summery flowers to match the color scheme of the event. And the idea for hosting the Sinigang party came when a video of me putting Mama Sita's mix on popcorn went viral. So shout out to Mama Sita's for sending me a package full of goodies to share. Sending my guests home with their own Sinigang popcorn kit was a must. You also know I had to make a cute summery mocktail slash mocktail station with Poppi's and mint. I also had my guests draw themselves when they entered on a banner that said Sini-gang's all here because I love having a little activity. And then it was time to chef it up. All my Ganda guests brought ingredients to throw in our giant Sinigang pots and us chopping away and laughing together literally felt like when my titas would be in the kitchen prepping for a big Filipino party. Y'all our spread was spreading. We had shrimp Sinigang, beef rib Sinigang, vegan Sinigang and of course our kanin. And for dessert my friend Liana brought the best cassava cake I think I've ever had in my life. Then we ended the day with busting out our Tupperwares for baon.
