POP week is finally here for the 2025 Batch A Stream II, and the parade ground energy hits different when you are standing there among fellow Titans. But while the standard conversation this week revolves around "entering the job market," my reality has been a wild, multi-layered hustle for months. I didn't wait for the khaki to come off to start executing. I’ve been living a double life: balancing the rigorous obligations of a national service year, showing up every single day for my corporate 9-to-5 job, and pouring every remaining ounce of my energy into building a legacy company. Working a 9-to-5 in this economic landscape gives you a front-row seat to the real problems everyday Nigerians face. Standing out there during the early morning rush, seeing the anxiety of "One Chance" transport risks, the erratic surge prices, and the absolute lack of dignity for the corporate professional, that became my field research. You don't truly understand the transit crisis until you are the one living it. So, instead of resting after a long corporate shift, Chidozie and I open our laptops. We haven't been building from a glassy tech tower or a seamless Silicon Valley lab. We’ve been engineering from the trenches, navigating power grid volatility, writing Next.js and Prisma code under the hum of a generator, and pushing past data limits until 3 AM. As we hit this final POP milestones this week, the mission becomes crystal clear. We are building NaviaRide Technologies Limited. Not as a copycat ride-hailing app, but as a robust, fully-vetted "Trust Engine" designed specifically to protect and elevate the modern African professional's daily transit experience.
