I've been building software alone for over twenty years. A little while ago I opened a codebase I've run since 1997 with Claude Code — and it immediately suggested something that would have broken everything. Not because the tool is bad. Because the constraint wasn't in any file. It was a decision from 2007 that no comment block could capture. Code can tell you what a system does. It can't tell you why you still trust it. That's where AI hits its ceiling. And that ceiling is set by the person who built the thing, not the tool. If you've built something real, AI extends you. If you haven't, it exposes you. If you're a solo founder or developer who wants to cut through the noise, my guides, calls, and programs are in the link in bio. #softwaredeveloper #claudecode #aitools #solofounder #buildinpublic
