Welcome to part one of my bedroom makeover series. Today I'm building the ultimate cozy vanity area on a budget. Let me quickly show you what my bedroom currently looks like. I do think it looks cute but I feel like it's missing that cozy feel. By the way, I have the most exciting thing planned for this little section here, but this nook over here is where we're gonna be building the vanity set up. Now my initial inspiration for this set up was very Y2K coded, which is why I decided I absolutely needed a leopard print chair. I'm not gonna lie though, I don't think I pulled off the Y2K theme very well, but you have to let me know at the end. Now I've said this before but I'm genuinely awful at following instructions, but if you ever needed proof, there it is. You would think after building this many setups I'd actually know what I'm doing by now, but somehow every single time I have some disaster happen. But at least it makes the video more entertaining, and as you can see I did actually successfully build the chair afterwards. Now since we're doing this vanity setup on a budget, I feel like IKEA was basically unavoidable, so I did get the IKEA Malm desk. Ever since I was a kid I always wanted one of these mirrors, and now at the ripe age of 28 I finally have one. I know I don't look it in this clip, but let me tell you I'm so excited about this. Okay and now we're on to the fun part, cause I get to add all of my accessories. Look how cute this little My Melody makeup brush holder is. Now I fear I own enough lip liners and lip glosses to supply an entire small village, so naturally, they were the first things that I organized. Okay and then I tackled the drawers, although if I'm being honest, these are probably gonna look like a hot mess within like the next two days. Oh and this hairbrush is too cute to also not have out on display. This is the finished result of the drawers. I've got all of my makeup there and then my skincare on the end. And this is the final result. I spent roughly 300 pound on the whole setup and honestly I'm obsessed with how perfect it looks in this space.
