5 things to do when you get a new MacBook. One of them is something I didn't even know about for years but it is such a game changer. Okay first thing I always do is fix my dock. So I go in and remove any apps that I don't use because I hate it looking cluttered at the bottom. Just right click the app, options and then remove from dock. And I also turn on automatically hide so it disappears when I'm not using it. Next up change your wallpaper. This completely changes how your MacBook feels and I always find mine on Pinterest and there are so many good options that I'm usually struggling to pick but I ended up going for this pink leopard. Then to match my wallpaper I change my accent colour and my app tint and this is in the appearance settings and you can literally pick any shade you want. Then I add a few widgets to my desktop to tie everything together and this is what mine ended up looking like. Next you wanna go into your trackpad settings and turn on tap to click. So by default you actually have to press down on the trackpad to click but with this turned on you can just lightly tap it instead and it's such a small thing but it makes everything feel so much smoother. And finally this is the one I didn't know about for a while. You wanna set up hot corners. It basically lets you move your cursor to a corner of your screen to trigger different actions. So I've got mine set up so top right opens up all of my apps, bottom right opens up notes, top left locks my screen and bottom left puts it to sleep. And once you start using this it just makes everything feel so much quicker. I do this every single time I get a new MacBook and it just makes it feel so much nicer to use. So make sure you save this so you can set yours up later.
