5 things to do when you get a new iPhone and one of these, I bet only 10% of you know about. First thing I always do is customize my lock screen and my app tint because I refuse to leave my phone looking boring. So just hold down on your lock screen, click customize and from there you can completely change the vibe of your phone. You can change your wallpaper, add widgets like your calendar or battery percentage, and you can even tint all of your app icons to match your aesthetic. Next up, make sure you customize your Control Center because half the useful stuff is not even there by default. So just hold down and from here you can add loads of extra controls that make your life so much easier, like I always add Shazam and low power mode, screen recording, because they're just things I use all the time and it just saves me digging through my phone every 5 seconds looking for things. Now this one I BET you don't know about. Your iPhone has a secret a hidden button on the back. Go into your settings and search for back tap and you can set it so that when you double or triple tap the back of your phone it triggers different actions. I have mine set so that a double tap makes it take a screenshot and then when I triple tap it it opens up my camera. Once you start using this it just makes everything feel so much quicker. Next up, make sure you change your camera settings because if you pay for a nice camera you may as well use the good settings. So I always turn on grid, level and mirror front camera and then I also increase the video quality because the default settings aren't the best. Then you want to change your battery settings immediately because this can protect your battery health long term. So I always turn on optimized battery charging and then I set a charging limit of 80% because that is better for your battery in the long run. And finally, make sure stolen device protection is turned on and then I also always add require face ID to certain apps which means they can only be opened with face ID. So if anyone ever gets hold of my phone they still can't get into certain apps and honestly, I think more people should know about that feature.
