At 32, I've tried 10 different businesses. Here's what I honestly think of each one. (with rating) Luxury Items Sourcing / Personal Shopping — 7.5/10 Bought my first car at 22 through this business. Good income with relatively low overhead, but customs duties, shipping, and logistics can get complicated. Building trust with customers takes time. Shopping for clients was genuinely fun. Clothing Brand — 7/10 Fun to design, source, and model my own products. The market is highly saturated and difficult to sustain unless you're fully committed to it full-time. International Dropshipping — 8/10 One of the best things I got from this wasn't the money— it was learning website design and paid advertising. Those became high-income skills I still use today. Great time freedom, but ad costs and platform changes made it harder to scale. General Merchandise E-Commerce — 8.5/10 Made six figures in the first month. It was one of the closest things to semi-passive income I've experienced with the right team. The market is much more competitive now, but I would absolutely do it again. Jewelry Brand — 7.5/10 A passion project. I genuinely enjoyed packing every order. The challenge was inventory management, quality control, and keeping up with trends. Not ideal as a one-person operation. Korean Grocery — 9/10 One of my favorite businesses. Stable, straightforward, and easier to manage compared to many others. Location matters a lot —we're beside a hospital and university. Margins are generally better than people expect. Condo Rental — 9/10 The closest thing to passive income on this list. Consistent cash flow, but repairs, maintenance, and vacancies are part of the game. Restaurants — 8.5/10 We've opened a total of 12 shops over the years. 8 are still operating today, while others eventually closed. Restaurants taught us the most about business, leadership, systems, and resilience. Very rewarding, but definitely not for the faint- hearted. Cafe — 8/10 Probably the most creative business I've done so far. Highly competitive and trend- driven, with high startup and operating costs. But when executed well, the returns can be amazing. Content Creation / Brand Marketing — 9/10 Started for fun and honestly still feels like fun. I've earned six figures from it so far, but I haven't even taken it seriously yet. The upside is huge if you're willing to invest the time. 🤔 What's next?
