America has become completely unaffordable and I don't know why more people are not talking about this. Half of America doesn't even have a savings. Rent is insane. Healthcare is a luxury. And somehow the narrative is still people are just bad with money. What money? People are working full time. Most people have two to three jobs anymore because you have to. At what point do we stop blaming the people and just accept the fact that the cost of living has simply just outpaced reality? Because everything is this expensive, you have to know exactly where all of your money is going anymore. Like a budget is just simply a necessity. You have to have one. Started using a budgeting app like mine to figure out where all of my money is going, but it does not make up for the fact that America is too expensive to live in anymore. If you're struggling, you are not alone. So back when I was a public school teacher, I found out that I was struggling because I was doing what everyone else was doing. I did everything that I was supposed to do. Save money. Work hard, save money. Because as a millennial, that's what our parents taught us. But after working with thousands of adults, I found out that just like myself from way back when, many Americans barely have any FINANCIAL LITERACY. And I'm truly sorry for all of you students who had me as a teacher where the school system was not able to teach you any of this. So to make this up, Mr. Chen is going to show you exactly what I did to reach FINANCIAL FREEDOM, so hopefully you can do the same thing too. 1. Stay away from people who are constantly complaining about money because you actually have more power and autonomy than you think. If you surround yourself with negative complainers, you will become a negative complainer too. But if you surround yourself with ambition, discipline and greatness, your life will proliferate the same way. 2. Do whatever you can to acquire high leverage skills and make that money. Even if you don't agree. These are considered low paying jobs and low paying skills. And these are considered high paying jobs with high leverage skills. And the best part is you can learn the majority of this for FREE now. Start with YouTube Claude and Google Notebook LM. 3. No matter how much money you make, whether it's $50,000 a year or $500,000 a year, you need to live below your means. Every 20 year old should have a BUDGETING APP like with any of these or really with whatever you're comfortable with, or use the one that I use in my bio. 4. You need to start investing or you will work forever. Instead choose a reliable brokerage like with any of these and invest in low cost index funds like with any of these. Because if you can invest just $20 a day, in 40 years you'll have close to $3.8 million where you only put in $288,000 of your own money and grow your account by $3.5 million due to compound growth. Let that sink in. Start early, put in the work and stay positive. And I promise you, you're going to live a life of abundance. Miss you guys!
